A pleasant surprise was waiting for me in my pigeonhole this morning:

International Relocation Grant

As you have now been teaching for the required time, a non-taxable payment of $2,000 will be made with your teacher salary payment. This payment will be processed by your Payroll Service Centre in the next available pay period.

Not bad, really, for just filling in a form. I sent the paperwork off back in the last term, and I’ve already had the first payment.
